Lauren O’Brien

(Writer/Performer)

(Writer/Performer/Producer) has performed regionally in To Kill a Mockingbird (Mayella), Angels in America (Harper), A Wrinkle in Time (Mrs. Whatsit), and The Odyssey (Athena), among others. She was also a founding member of director Polina Klimovitskaya’s avant-garde theatre troupe, Terra Incognita, where she co-developed the original work Ophelia Tapestry. Lauren credits Ms. Klimovitskaya for teaching her a “psycho-physical” approach to creativity. Lauren began her foray into music as a lyricist for producer Marc Godwin and singer Janice Robinson. She later recorded a rock/poetry album, Inconsequential Dream, as well as a punk-cabaret album, The Devil’s Girlfriend (which she expanded into a theatrical show and toured throughout Germany). Lauren has toured extensively and performed as part of CMJ, Howl Fest, MEANY Fest, and more. She is a two-time recipient of New Century Music Awards. Her first solo show, Jaxx & Lolo, won the Audience Choice Award and the Excellence in Multi-Media Award at the 2020 New York City Fringe Festival. Her new piece, Lolo’s Boyfriend Show, won the Audience Choice Award at the New York City Fringe Festival.

Matt Hoverman

(Development/Additional Direction)

is a TV writer and playwright whose groundbreaking work in kid’s animation (Arthur, Curious George, Fancy Nancy, Sofia the First, Firebuds) has been recognized with an Emmy, the Humanitas Prize, the Sentinel Award and more. His farcical comedies for the theatre (Puck’d: A Middle-Aged Summer Night’s Dream, The Glint, Who You See Here, Thrillsville, In Transit and Christmas Shorts) have been produced by the La Jolla Playhouse, George Street Playhouse, and others, and have been nominated for a Drama Desk Award and won the FringeNYC Best Playwriting Award and the Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival. As a teacher, Matt has midwived hundreds of solo shows in his popular GO-SOLO workshops – including winners of five FringeNYC Best Solo Show Awards, a United Solo Best Autobiographical Script Award, a Midtown Int’l Theatre Festival Best Solo Show Award. Jennifer Amey

(Producer)

is from Lincolnshire, UK and has worked on over 50 productions in her career to date. Before becoming a fully-fledged freelance producer herself, she worked for Suzanna Rosenthal Productions (Showstopper! The Improvised Musical) and Kenny Wax Productions (SIX, The Play That Goes Wrong, Top Hat). With friend and co-worker Lou Corben, Jen recently founded the company Unstuck, which provides creative, production and administrative support for artists. is a video & scenic designer and inter-disciplinary artist working in performance, film & installation. Lianne previously designed projections with Lauren O’Brien on Jaxx & Lolo, just before the world shut down. Christine Bokhour

(Director/Development) After a successful career as a singer/dancer/actress on Broadway (Chicago, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), national tours (Cats, Chicago, Sunset Boulevard) and as a Radio City Music Hall Rockette, Christine has moved on to choreograph and direct over 25 plays and musicals in the past decade. She won Best Director in Aerie Theatre’s 2019 One Act Play Festival, and directed Lolo’s Boyfriend Show which garnered the 2024 NYC Fringe Festival’s Audience Choice Award for Best Show.
